Releases

What's changed.

Every release, what it added, and — underneath each one — what it still doesn't do. The second list is the one worth reading before you decide.

2026.5.53

· current

The two things a boarding facility does that the app could not record: taking money for a stay, and giving an animal its medicine.

Money at the counter

  • A stay can be paid for. Check-out shows what is owed and takes it — cash, a check, or a card on your own terminal — recorded against the stay and the client, with a receipt you can print.
  • The payment is recorded before the animal is marked away, so if something goes wrong it goes wrong while the stay is still open rather than after cash has changed hands.
  • The day's takings count stay payments alongside POS sales.

Medication

  • Every dose is recorded — given, skipped or refused — with the amount, the time and the member of staff who gave it. A dose that was not given carries a reason. It records what PACFA rule 19.9.4 describes.
  • The screen leads with when each medication last went in, not with the form. Somebody who cannot see that the morning tablet was already given is the person who gives a second one.
  • A dose record cannot be edited or deleted. A mis-entry is voided, with a reason, and both the entry and the correction stay readable.

The desk

  • The stays nobody arrived for have their own list, with your own no-show fee recorded as owed when you mark one. They used to sit among today's expected arrivals on one screen and disappear at midnight on the other.
  • The setup wizard waits for your facility to arrive before it will finish, so a new device cannot run setup again over a facility that already has one.

Bookings that tell the truth

  • Booking a household checks every animal against the run type it actually needs, and says the shortfall: “Only 1 of 2 places free”.
  • The edit dialog prices with your holiday rates and counts only the kennels in service, and an edit that overbooks needs a reason — the same as the booking form.
  • Saving an edit no longer undoes a check-in that arrived from another terminal while the form was open.

Your records

  • A restore can no longer roll the facility back. Restored rows used to overwrite newer data and set the clock backwards, so other devices never saw the change.
  • A booking's history, and the reasons a stay was overbooked or cancelled, moved somewhere a pet owner cannot read. They were on a document the owner of that pet is allowed to read.
  • An invite can no longer be retargeted at another facility.

Plans

  • Entry now covers 5 staff logins, Pro Resort 25, and Enterprise as many as you need. Nobody is billed per user.
  • Volunteers do not use a seat. A volunteer can check animals in and out and write report cards, but can't touch prices, payments, settings or deletions.

What this release still can’t do

  • Taking a card inside the app is not built yet. This release records cash, a check, or a card you put through your own terminal.
  • Medication is a record, not a schedule. You can log what was given; you cannot yet enter a dosing schedule, see a “due now” board, or print a daily med sheet. The feeding log is the same story.
  • Kennel cards are not built.
  • A payment recorded by mistake cannot be voided from the screen yet.
  • The export file does not yet include incident reports, payments, the medication record or the booking history. The backup holds all of them.
  • Some staff names are still on the booking itself, which the pet's owner can read: who cancelled a stay or checked it in, and who changed its price, with the reason.
  • A volunteer is shown Settle balance and the medication log, but what they record there stays on that one device.
  • Email is not live yet: report cards go out from your own mail client. Text messages are built but off.
  • The desktop installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows warns the first time. The portable build cannot update itself.

2026.5.52

The booking desk: a stay can be edited, cancelled or written off, any pet can be booked from any page, and an incident has a report of its own.

Bookings

  • A stay can be edited: its dates, service, run type, add-ons and notes. New dates are checked for room and priced again, and a price changed by hand needs a reason.
  • A stay can be cancelled, with a reason, and your own late-cancellation fee recorded as owed. A facility that has set no fee charges nothing.
  • A stay can be marked a no-show from the booking, with your own no-show fee recorded as owed.
  • A booking made by mistake can be deleted outright for 15 minutes, or the time you set. After that you cancel it, so the record stays.
  • Every booking keeps a trail of who changed what, and when.

Booking any pet, from anywhere

  • The booking form searches every pet you have, by name, owner or breed, including one added this morning or imported yesterday.
  • Add pet opens a real form, and the booking carries on with the new animal.
  • New Booking opens from any page, and so does the n shortcut.
  • Several pets of one household go on one form, as one stay per animal.
  • Power mode has check-in and check-out buttons.

Run types and capacity

  • The person booking chooses the run type, and the availability check, the booking and the portal all use that one.
  • Capacity counts the kennels in service, not the number a type declares. A kennel out of service is not a place for sale.
  • Taking a stay with no place free needs a reason, at the desk and when approving a request.

Records

  • Incident reports that record the fields PACFA rule 19.9.2 lists, with the owner-notice and written-report deadlines of rules 15.3.1 and 19.9.3 counted on your own clock. A signed-off report is corrected only by addendum.
  • A backup holds every table. It held 8 of 18, with no agreements, report cards, sales or kennels, and the restore said it had succeeded.
  • The staff to-do list syncs between devices, belongs to the facility, and starts empty.

Prices and updates

  • Holiday and peak surcharges are date ranges you name, with the amount you set. The December surcharge nobody had set is gone.
  • About → Check for updates works. Since July it had looked for a file that was never published.

What this release still can’t do

  • Check-out takes no payment yet, and there is no medication record.
  • Nothing lists the stays nobody arrived for: each no-show is found from its own booking.
  • Email is not live yet: report cards go out from your own mail client. Text messages are built but off.
  • The desktop installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows warns the first time. The portable build cannot update itself.

2026.5.32

The beta build: the run board, the front desk, the POS, team invites, and records that sync.

Working the counter

  • The run board is a real board: kennels down the side, nights across, stays as bars you drag to move.
  • The front desk leads with who is arriving and who is going home, with vaccine, agreement, isolation and medication flags on each row.
  • Clients and pets open as a real record, with an importer that takes exports from most other systems.
  • A setup wizard takes a new facility from nothing to bookable in five steps.

Money and records

  • The POS records every sale — line items, tax, method, processor reference, who sold it — with a day view, receipts and void.
  • Reports cover revenue by day and method, top sellers, occupancy by night, arrivals and departures, with CSV exports.
  • Boarding agreements are signed at the desk or in the portal and open as a full printable document.
  • Report cards sync, and can be sent to owners from your own mail client or shared to a phone.

Working together

  • Team invites: create a link, send it, and their signup joins your facility with the role you chose.
  • Every device sees a deletion made on another device, and two people editing one record keep both sets of changes, field by field.
